Norton B99 1A1 Straight Diamond and CBN Abrasive Wheels.

The “99” line of quality Diamond and CBN (cubicboron nitride) grinding products are a premium, high performance resin bond diamond and CBN finishing wheels.

B99 Diamond Applications:
  • Sharpening cemented carbide cutting tools.
  • Cutting off carbide rod.
  • Grinding or cutting off non-metallic materials such as ceramics or glass.
  • Surface grinding dies.
  • O.D. grinding spray coatings.
B99 Diamond Features:
  • High quality synthetic diamond.
  • High material removal rates; longer wheel life vs. conventional.
  • Pre-engineered resin bond – B99
  • Free cutting; superior form holding; efficient wet or dry.
B99 CBN Applications:
  • Sharpening high-speed (M2, D2, T15, etc.) steel cutting tools.
  • Surface and ID grinding hardened steel die components.
  • Precision grinding steel parts Rc 50 or harder.
B99 Diamond Features:
  • CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) abrasive material is • Easily cuts difficult-to-grind steel parts Rc 50 or harder.
  • Second in hardness to diamond
  • Highly wear resistant and thermally stable.
  • Pre-engineered resin bond – B99
  • Free cutting, superior form holding.
NOTE: TECH TIPS FOR USING B99 DIAMOND AND CBN WHEELS
  • Truing makes the wheel concentric with the spindle.
  • Dressing opens the wheels cutting face.
  • Always true and dress diamond and CBN wheels prior to use.
  • Diamond and CBN wheels with grit sizes 100–180 can be trued with a Brake Controlled Truing Device.
